Coventry City UNISON member receives £70 learning grant!
A Coventry City UNISON member has become the latest recipient of a £70 learning grant from the union.
The worker from Coventry City Council applied for a UNISON grant with the help of the branch Learning Reps and Education Officer and will shortly receive the funding to help with their course.
Learning Rep Paul Hunt said
‘This is great news for our member who will receive the sum of £70 to help towards their learning and education. It is a very simple process for members to apply and the decision came back quickly from the national office of UNISON. We would encourage all members who are undertaking any courses outside of work to see if they qualify and to put in an application. Myself and branch Education Officer Mike Wallace can help with the application and answer any questions.’
Mike Wallace added
‘This £70 learning grant shows that UNISON is at the forefront of helping members educate and better themselves. It is great to know that UNISON is there for members and we also have many more ways of helping people gain extra knowledge and skills.’
