Coventry City UNISON member awarded £100 Learning Grant!
We are pleased to announce that a UNISON member in Coventry has become the latest to be awarded the £100 Learning Grant from the union.
Kyle, who works for Coventry City Council said
“I saw the advert for the UNISON Learning Grant online, and since I’ve been doing an Adult Education course I thought to myself “Why would I turn down the opportunity for money towards my course?!”.
Paul (Coventry City branch Union Learning Rep) was really helpful when I asked about the grant, and even though I wasn’t sure if I would be eligible he encouraged me to apply just in case I was, and it worked! The application is really easy to complete, and it was given the thumbs up within just a couple of weeks after submitting the forms.
So, if you’re looking at the advert as well and are thinking about applying for it, just remember: “Why would anyone turn down the opportunity for money towards a course?!”
This is great news and we encourage all UNISON members to get in touch if you want more information. We are happy to help with any applications! Whether it is workplace representation or help with education and learning, UNISON is here to help you organise and provide support. Make sure you join!
